this is the first christmas i have been able to spend with my family in 4 years. it was also the first time that erik (and evie obviously) got to share in the haggar family christmas traditions. what a wonderful 4 days we spent in in south dakota with my parentals, brother & sister.in.law. it was relaxing, exciting, wonderful, and much needed.
we left wednesday (a day earlier than planned) in some what of a hurry to avoid the bad weather that was predicted on thursday. we arrived early afternoon and evie played with grandpa for several hours. he chased her around the living room playing games, looking at grammie's "pretties"
my brother & i have always been the competitive type - but this year we were a team. we rallied against my husband in our traditional game of risk. of course after beating out erik, bret turned his back on his wonderful sister & won :)
christmas eve was a wonderful day. we went to the christmas eve service at church & evie wore her first christmas dress that grammie bought her. she looked so so cute.
and then came christmas presents....and then some more....and then some more..... :)
christmas day was filled with lots of playtime. great-grandma cooper came for a visit and evie had a great time playing games with her. they laughed and smiled together!!
evie loved grammies magnets!
because evie's birthday party is in lincoln, we had a haggar family bday party for her while we were in south dakota. evie got her very first pony from uncle bret & aunt kim. and she LOVES it. "such a pretty pony...click-ity clack...click-ity clack."
we also found out she LOVES chocolate cake!
thanks, family. it was SUCH a great week! love you all!
Well who DOESN'T love chocolate cake? Great pictures of your family!
