Cancun + Friends = Vacation

We took a dreamy, relaxing, amazing, fun vacation to the beaches of Mexico!  It was so wonderful!  This is the first time we have ever taken a vacation that was full of nothing!  No running around from here to there. Loved every moment with some of our favorite people!

I may or may not have eaten over twenty fish/shrimp tacos. We took a ferry to an island and rented golf carts and made some awesome memories. We spent the days on the beach or at the pool people watching. It was wonderful. We rented a van and drove up to talum and it was absolutely breathtaking. So much fun!

Fall flash back

I can't believe how behind I have been on posting. Well actually, that's not true. I can believe it. We had a whirlwind of a few months!  I've been taking a class for my masters and trying to keep up with work and our girlies. It's been great but crazy. Here's some pictures to sum up our amazing fall!

Pumpkin patchin' it

Mahoney is always a highlight of our fall! Such great friends and family!

Football filled many Saturdays!

Had a super fun weekend with Gramma Tammy and grandpa Audie!

Then there was this fun night for the GroundUp company party!

summer iDump and catch-all

the summer is breezing by!  evie starts preschool next week and UNL will be in full swing before i know it.  where has our summer gone?

evie got to go to VBS for the first time this year.  we had a VBS kickoff at star city shores and then ended with a program and outdoor fun.  one of our neighbors ended up being evie's teacher and made sure to send me pics of evie at her table.  she had a blast and always asks that we listen to the VBS music in the car (weeks after it ended!!).

cousin love.

we've enjoyed having a pool in our backyard (minus the constant maintenance)  and the girls both took swimming lessons for the first time at lifestrokes.  they are getting more and more brave in the water!

we LOVE having mimi and papa here in lincoln.  the girls are in absolute heaven!

we celebrated b&w's 10th anniversary on the elkhorn river.  we had such a fun afternoon!

erik and i went on a date to the pinewood bowl outdoor theater to see my favorite artist, sara bareilles.  words can not describe how amazing this concert was.  she was unreal.

last weekend we hit the lancaster county fair with grandma and grandpa.  the girls got to go on some of the rides.  evie wanted to ride the "rollercoaster" desperately!  :)

the girls are becoming sweet friends and it is so adorable watching them together.  even though they can get frustrated with one another they tend to play pretty well overall.

and of course some sweet candids from our summer fun!

liver check

We went to Children's today for Keller's liver check. She did awesome and only fussed a little bit during her blood draw. She is so brave. The liver team couldn't believe how much KG had grown. They (as always) treated her like she was their favorite patient (because let's be honest) and then got spoiled with hugs and kisses. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful team.

To make the day wen brighter we found out Keller's levels were the bet they have ever been. While her liver enzymes (ALT and AST) are still abnormal and considered high, they are down to right around 100. Which is low for KG!  Her docs were so happy to see this. Her liver and spleen remain enlarged, but we don't have to have another ultrasound and blood draw for six months. This is great news!  The doc even mentioned that if she continues to be stable, we may go to annual appointments!  Praise God!
