just keep growin...just keep growin...

it's been a whirlwind since christmas. i still can't believe that we are almost in to the month of march. how has this happened? i'm feeling pretty good, but i must say...this pregnancy has been completely different than it was with evie. i passed my blood glucose test at the last appointment. so that was good news. the crazy part of that appointment was discovering that the baby was laying sideways. ouchie! no wonder my ribs are especially achy.

but baby is very healthy. the doctor has nothing but good things to say. as we move into the third trimester...lets hope that it continues to go as well!

mimi, papa, elmo and a snow storm!

what a fun filled weekend!! mimi & papa came to visit! evie sure loves her time when they come. it's always filled full of fun! to top it off, whenever mimi & papa come to visit...they bring all of evie's friends (elmo, big bird, cookie, and a talking duck). and because of this her friends have to be apart of everything they do. including reading books. they all pile on the couch together and snuggle up!

mimi & papa had bought evie a doll wardrobe full of doll clothes. so mimi and evie spent a lot of time dressing up her babies. what evie enjoyed most, was hanging them on hangers and putting them back in to the wardrobe.

mimi spent a lot of time on different projects with evie.

they baked together.

they painted together.

they made valentines together.

the main event was going to sesame street live! following the fierce snow storm that lincoln got hit with, we weren't sure if we were going to get out of our house. we missed the first show we had tickets to, but they honored our tickets at a later show. thank goodness! the snow plow came and we went!

i wish i could have captured evie's squeals and put them in a bottle. she was so ecstatic to see all of her favorite sesame street characters. she was singing and bouncing and laughing and screaming more than anyone around us. she knew all of the songs and sang them at the top of her lungs!!

pretty pretty princess

one of evie's favorite bday gifts was her princess tent she got from brad & charissa. she LOVES it. she spends as much time in it as possible. she even loves the fun princess outfit that comes with. what is even more adorable is she asks us to take a picture of her when she gets all dressed up. "evie pitchaa?! cheeeeeeeeeez"

evie's 2nd bday party

we celebrated evie's 2nd bday with a room full of family and friends. it was a wonderful afternoon! evie was a tad more shy than normal, but was bouncing off the walls from all the candy!

i themed the party this year "candy shop." i had a ton of fun getting the house ready for the party this year. the biggest accomplishment, by far, was the large dum-dum sucker i made. so much fun! the kiddos all took home a toothbrush to get rid of all the sugar on their teeth! :)

halfway!!!!

i'm already twenty weeks pregnant and i'm still shocked. if the second half of pregnancy goes as fast as the first half...we are going to be holding a baby before we know it! today we had our ultrasound and all looked great. the baby measured 11 ounces and had a heart rate of 148 bpm. the tech had nothing but great things to say about the physical development. baby has all its fingers & toes!!

2011

january: evie finally got her two front teeth just a few days after christmas!

february: we spent most of our time indoors and evie mastered the art of climbing!

march: time indoors was spent building forts and outdoors at the playground!

april: evie was dedicated at church and experienced her first easter egg hunt!

may: we traveled to south dakota and iowa this month and spent some quality time with family!

june: enjoyed fun in the sun! and erik & i vacationed to vegas with gabe & emily!

july: we spent the fourth in south dakota and had a blast at our family reunion and storybook land!

august: moved to a new house & i took a trip to denver to visit melanie! the rest of the time we tried to bare the heat!

september: i started grad school. we went to mahoney. we welcomed a new nephew & neice!! and found out we are pregnant!
