erik has piloted the opening of his first restaurant venture. happy halloween

our sweet evie celebrated halloween dressed as pebbles. she was so cute. we went to our church's indoor halloween bash and had a great time. it was nice to get out of the house after a week of croup. yuck.

asher (superman) and declan (fireman) joined us for the fun. sadly, i didn't get a picture of the three of them together! although evie was fearful of most of the bounce houses, she got her share of candy at some of the smaller games.

EVIE IS GOING TO BE A BIG SISTER!

baby h #2 [aka baby h2o...thanks to melanie] will join this hustad family of three approximately may 23rd!

i am 11-ish weeks pregnant and feeling pretty good. i have had a very similar start to this pregnancy as i did with evie. very very tired with zero energy. i can tell the first trimester is almost over, because the past few days i have definitely felt a little more energy [thank goodness].

we are thrilled to add to our family of three. and i cannot wait to see evie as a big sister!

croup. my enemy.

we have had a rough month full of sickness in the hustad house. about three weeks ago, we all were plagued with the stomach flu. evie was sick for almost 5 days and it was terrible. AND THEN, this past week, evie was diagnosed with croup. so needless to say, it's been a rough week. she hasn't had much of an appetite, has slept a ton (and then can't sleep other times), ran super high fevers, and had the most terrible cough. but it seems like we are now on the mend. we've been fever free for almost two days and the cough is getting much better. so here's to hoping we can go at least a month without another sickness!

sunday afternoon the hustad's took the kiddos out to the roca berry farm pumpkin patch. we had a great time and certainly had beautiful fall weather! we watched the pigs race and lots of bunnies. but evie was pretty timid around most of the games/displays...maybe next year she will be more willing to dive in. asher and declan sure didn't let anything stop them!!

october reunion

this past weekend, some of my favorite people all gathered in the same place! some of my college friends traveled to lincoln and all came out to our house. we bbq'd, watched some football, and had some quality time together. i'm blessed with some wonderful friends and i'm so thankful that we have all stayed in touch...even though we are all scattered throughout several states. to top it off, we got to spend the weekend with my bff, melanie! so glad she was able to make the trip from denver!
