raising her right
be sure to catch evie saying "cheese" at the end of the video once she realizes she's being filmed.
don't forget to breathe!!
ooooofta!! our world has been crazy chaotic this past month. hence the lack of any communication in the blog world. please forgive me. i will try some snapshots so you can get caught up! *disclaimer, almost all of these pics were taken on my blackberry. please do not judge that bad photo quality.
----------------------
july 21st - i want to shameless spread the news that evie went poopy in the potty for the first time. might i also add that she wasn't even 19 months yet. i'm a proud mommy. evie decides what days she wants to sit on the potty. and also decides (adamantly) when she does not.
july 30th - chelsey & pat got married!!

best buds - chloe and evie always have a great time together!
july 31st - we moved. it was 105 degrees that day. and we also got hit by a u-haul employee with a u-haul truck in the u-haul parking lot. lame.

but these are the sunsets we get from our new porch. amazing. more pics of our new house to come soon.

we went to the county fair with evie. she loved the animals!
summer time = sweet corn

it has been an amazing summer filled with so many fun memories! hard to believe that fall is here! next week...i will begin my first class as a graduate student! holy moly! let the games begin!

fourth of july weekend
over the fourth of july, evie and i drove up to south dakota for the cooper family reunion! we had a wonderful weekend. evie got to go to storybook land for the first time. i have so many memories there. every summer when we went to visit my grandparents, they would take us to storybook land. and now that we go there to visit my parents, it was only natural that we take evie! she just stared at all the storybook characters and took it all in.
evie LOVED the ponies!
not only did we get to spend time with mimi & papa...we spent a wonderful day with all of my extended family on my mom's side for the reunion. here we all are sporting our blue cooper shirts!
wouldn't be a party without bubbles!
my mother inspires me to be a better person. if you have ever been lucky enough to meet her, you know exactly what i mean. times are always precious when i get to spend time with her. what makes our time even sweeter is when we get to spend time with my grandma. just like my mom, my grandma makes me want to be kinder, more loving, and more understanding. i learn to love harder and deeper every time i interact with her.
i watched my grandma (evie's namesake) dance with my daughter this weekend. that was, by far, my most treasured moment of the entire weekend home with my family.
